Namalhas sa Roxas....:-)

Roxas City - Seafood Capital of the Philippines

sunny 26 °C

And on Thursday, we packed our things very early because it will be a long travel for us, kasi we booked a plane ticket from Roxas City to MNL. We want to experience the so called "Seafood Capital of the Philippines", We just want to make sure that they can stand that great title..

We arrived noontime in Roxas City, we 3 decided to go to Gaisano Mall and try Ted's Batchoy, kasi palagi nilang binibida ang Ted's sa akin na pinakamasarap na batchoy sa Iloilo.... Okay, go! let's give it a try!

But the very accommodating Tricycle Driver, told us na much better to go to Baybay, according to him there are 20 restos to choose from. Well! kailangang maniwala sa local, sila ang may alam e. Hehehe! Malayo pala sya sa city center but along the way to Baybay the Tricycle driver was just so hospitable, he told us some facts about Roxas City, doon pa talaga sya dumaan sa bahay nila Mar Roxas so that we can glimpse the said ancestral house.

And may bunos pa kami, we chatted with the owner of the resto, He's Francisco Monfort, bagong open pa pala ang resto nya last October 4 lang yata. Very accommodating and Mababait din mga crew nya kaya lang medyo mahiyain, pero konting kembot lang magiging entertainer na rin ang mga yun.. hehehe!

After our lunch, we went to People's Park which is katabi lang ng mga Restos. :-(

Mantalinga Island yan!

From People's Park you can have a clearer view of Mantalinga Island na according to Mr. Monfort jan kinukuha ang mga shells and oysters na siniserve sa mga Restos.

And good thing 30pesos lang ang terminal fee nila. It's really a great alternative airport if you will go to Boracay, this is just 2 hours and 30 minutes from Caticlan. From Caticlan to Kalibo is just 100pesos and Kalibo to Roxas City is just 120pesos. At makakakuha ka talaga ng piso fare if you will choose this airport kasi most of the people want to arrive and depart in Caticlan airport. And parang side trip mo na lang ang Roxas City, hitting 2 birds in 1 stone, ika nga! hehehe..
